Fury of Grief: Israel rains hellfire down on Gaza

After a month, agonizing weeks of Israel's daily barrage and bombardment of Gaza and now West Bank, the two parts of Palestine under the weight of Israeli occupation, Gazans and Palestinians are collectively suffering from Israel's fury of grief. Two weeks ago on October 7th, one day after the 50th anniversary of the October War, Hamas' military wing the Qassam Brigade launched one of the largest and surprise attack against Israel killing some 1,500 men, women and children and taken another depending on calculations 150 to 200 Israelis hostage into Gaza. The terrorist attack or military attack shocked Israeli intelligence, the IDF, the government and Israel's allies to the core. After all, Israel has bragged to the rest of the world for decades that it has an invincible army, it's been fighting terrorism since its founding and it has the best counter terrorism measures, etc. The Iron Dome exists to protect Israel from Hamas rockets was also bypassed and left the usual technologically advance defense system vulnerable for a few hours. No amount of justification can excuse Hamas' action though context is needed. Taking women, children and men hostage is horrific no matter the reasoning and traumatizing the hostages even worst.

Still the actions of Hamas doesn't excuse Israel's action in launching non stop airstrikes on Gaza to obliterate Hamas ignoring the constant human suffering of Palestinians and their unending grief. As been said before, the bombing of Gaza and the conflict as awhole is not an equal conflict between both well equipped sides. Israel has been supported for decades without fail and question by the entire Western world beginning with Britain and France, US, Germany, Australia, etc. Even now as Israeli bombs rain down on Gaza and has killed some innocent 10,000 men, women and children, Biden and most American politicians insists Israel has the absolute right to defend itself. There is no question asked if Israel is violating international law, Geneva Accords and its own laws on collectively punishing an occupied people and commiting what amounts to war crimes against the ordinary people. Instead the accusation is laid on Hamas. Hamas is "commiting war crimes," it's a terrorist organization that needs to be destroyed, Palestinians are blamed indirectly for Hamas' actions and the brutal bombing of Gaza.

Netanyahoo and his cabinet declared they would destory Hamas. Without skipping a beat, they also threatened and has been using disportionate force and collective punishment in their war not the usual military action against Gaza and Hamas. For Israel, not only is Hamas dangerous and guilty but ordinary Palestinians regardless of politics are equally guilty by association for having Hamas as a government. Tel Aviv government officials and Israel first supporters have been comparing Oct 7th Hamas attack to the United State's 9/11. The US once again has given Israel a carte blanche to use all its military and technological weapons and drones. The US continues to give billions of dollars in aid to Israel. Aid that the country doesn't need much to the anger of ordinary Americans already upset with the amount of money also going to Ukraine's self defense. The U.S. has its own, long standing social problems it is not address properly. Ignoring Occupation has already pointed out the link between Ukraine and Israel as America's eternal allies against their respective enemies. It is well known by everyone that the United States has never been an unbiased partner for peace when it comes to Israel and Palestine. America has unconditionally supported Israel at every turn and decision on the 75+ year conflict. We have pointed this out in many articles. Nearly every American president has empathized and sympathized with Israel and Israelis in each countries' respective foreign policy decisions. American politicians even parrot Israeli politicians' talking points on occupied Palestine and Israel's justification for its nonstop national security state using military force to deal with Palestinians and its neighbors in the region.
