Protest against government follows Soma mining diaster

People have taken to the streets in Soma and other towns against the government's decades of corruption and double dealing. The people have had enough. These protests are part of a larger nation wide protest against the ruling AKP government and its local political leaders that's been occuring for over a year. Istanbul's continual Gezi protest has also focused its anger from the city government to the national government. The Turkish PM's aid was seen kicking a protester not far from the Soma mines. It has sparked further fury by nearby protesters who are burning tires and clashing with police.
