Ethiopian Israels protest for equality for all in Israel

Holding up traffic so society can hear the protesters

Considering the treatment Ethiopian Israelis receive from the Israeli police and society, discrimination and racism across Israel extending to occupied Palestine, is it little wonder that Ethiopian Israelis have protested for equality for all? Ethiopians clashed with police in Tel Aviv after holding up traffic to protest years of racism and discrimination against Ethiopian Israelis. Many Ethiopians both the elderly and youth often feel alienated and out of place culturally and politically in mainstream Israeli society despite being born in the country, speaking Hebrew and serving in Israeli army. There are many non European Jews living in Israel who aren't considered as "fully Jewish" by the Rabbinate and wider society.
